Huddersfield Town have been dominating the transfer market in League One this summer, but they are set to lose one target to Blackpool now.
The rest of the league have had to just sit back and watch as Huddersfield Town signings come in thick and fast this summer.
After Lee Grant took the helm for the Terriers, we’ve seen the likes of Ryan Ledson and Marcus Harness drop down a division to join him, while League One stars Sean Roughan and Joe Low have followed.
It would appear Huddersfield are destined to win the league in 2025/26, but they’ll have to do it without one transfer target who has chosen Blackpool instead.

Blackpool set to sign George Honeyman from Millwall
As per Darren Witcoop, Huddersfield have missed out on the signing of midfielder George Honeyman, who will leave Millwall this summer.
Witcoop said: “Blackpool are signing Millwall midfielder George Honeyman. Honeyman also attracted interest from Huddersfield but he’s now heading to Bloomfield Road.”
It’s a major coup for Blackpool and Steve Bruce, with the Tangerines manager known to be a big admirer of Honeyman.
Honeyman has been with the Lions since 2022, when he joined from Hull City. He came through the Sunderland academy and made almost 100 appearances for the Black Cats.

George Honeyman can help Blackpool become promotion contenders
Huddersfield will be very disappointed to miss out on Honeyman, while Blackpool will no doubt be delighted with their capture.
This is a player who featured in 45 games for Millwall last season, registering two goals and six assists. He may be 30-years-old, but Honeyman will surely be able to translate that output into a decent return in the third tier.
We predict a strong showing in League One for Blackpool in the coming campaign, but this signing certainly can help push them even closer to those promotion spots.
With Steve Bruce at the helm and a couple more strong signings, the Tangerines could be one to watch in 2025/26.
