With just days left of the summer transfer window, EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that Norwich City are still very much ‘at risk’ of losing key man Josh Sargent.
Liam Manning has had a pretty successful summer, with 11 new Norwich City signings coming through the door to boost his squad.
The departure of Borja Sainz earlier in the window was a blow, but an inevitable one, and one that Norwich City absolutely knew was coming.
Meanwhile, Josh Sargent has been linked with Wolfsburg and Burnley, but is still a Norwich player as things stand. However, that could all change by September 1st.

Norwich City still fear Josh Sargent exit
Just last week, Manning had a positive update on Sargent’s future, insisting the USA striker was happy at Norwich and reiterating how much he loved the club.
But, with just days to go until the transfer window slams shut, EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that there is still a very good chance that Sargent moves on.
Our Chief Football Correspondent Graeme Bailey said: “Norwich are massively at risk. There’s interest in him. They don’t have to sell, but Norwich are worried by it to a certain extent. They have arguably already signed replacements for him, but they’re willing for him to stay.
“Let’s see how the next few days plays out the weekend. It’ll be key for him. I think he wants to play in the top flight. There’s no getting away from that, so we’ll see how it goes. Obviously, he’s not agitating massively, but he does want to play in the top flight.”

After Marcelino Nunez sale, Josh Sargent departure would cause uproar
Last night, Norwich agreed to sell Marcelino Nunez to Ipswich Town. It’s safe to say Canaries’ fans are not happy with that piece of business. It marks the first time a Norwich player has crossed the Norfolk divide since Andy Marshall in 2001.
Granted, that sale is for a player who has less than 12 months left on his contract, who actively pushed to leave, and who is fairly injury-prone.
However, letting Sargent go, especially after his impressive start to the season, would leave Norwich fans absolutely broken.
It remains to be seen now whether the Canaries can resist offers in the next few days for their star man.
