It’s been a busy 24 hours in the second tier, but we’ve got all the biggest stories collated in one place with our new Championship transfer round-up.

The last time we looked, Leicester City were holding onto Bilal El Khannouss and Hayden Hackney appeared to be on the brink of leaving Middlesbrough.

As is customary in any transfer window, that’s all changed in the blink of an eye, and a slew of new Championship stories have emerged to keep us well-fed for rumours.

Our latest Championship transfer round-up has fresh information on Ipswich Town, Southampton, and Birmingham City, plus lots more.

Championship transfer round-up: Finn Azaz and Hayden Hackney updates

We start our Championship transfer round-up with the biggest story of the week, as Southampton have a £15m offer accepted for Finn Azaz.

That’s not ideal, obviously, given Azaz bagged 12 goals and 14 assists last season. But, the good news is, we are told this means Hayden Hackney will not be leaving Middlesbrough now.

Hackney wants to play in the Premier League, but Boro are incredibly reluctant to sell their two best players this summer.

Meanwhile, it’s thought Middlesbrough will pay £5m to sign Ivor Pandur from Hull City. Whether the player goes for the move or not is another matter, though, as he’s happy with Hull.

Birmingham City are not finished yet as Jay Stansfield suffers injury

Look away now Birmingham City fans, because Jay Stansfield is injured. He got a knock in midweek against Port Vale in the Carabao Cup and is now on crutches.

In response, Birmingham are eyeing a move for Hyunjun Yang. The Celtic star has the green light to move, and it may only be a matter of time now.

Meanwhile, Blues fans have told Chris Davies to sign a back-up to Tomoki Iwata before deadline day. That’s largely because Marc Leonard isn’t up to the task according to supporters, even though the Birmingham stalwart is eager to stay.

Ipswich Town to challenge Wrexham for Jordan James

In what may be the most shocking transfer of the whole summer, Ipswich Town are set to take Marcelino Nunez from Norwich City. He’s the first Norwich player to make the switch across Norfolk since Andy Marshall in 2001.

Nunez will cost Ipswich £10m, and the Canaries will use a portion of that to sign Pelle Mattsson for around £2.6m from Silkeborg.

That could spell the end of Ipswich’s pursuit of Jordan James. They had looked to hijack Wrexham’s approach for the former Birmingham midfielder, with James set to talk to both clubs soon. He is Wrexham’s prime transfer target, so they may yet win the race.

Championship transfer round-up: Millwall bid, Lewis Travis confirmed, Leicester City’s odd move

And now we conclude our Championship transfer round-up with a brief look at the best of the rest.

Millwall really are getting busy in the final days of the window. The Lions have now bid £4.3m for Jusef Erabi, but face competition from Genk in Belgium for the striker.

Lewis Travis becomes the latest Blackburn player to follow John Eustace to Derby County. His move to the Rams has finally been confirmed after weeks of talks and speculation.

For some reason, Leicester City want another goalkeeper. The Foxes have made a loan offer for Jonas Omlin, but Borussia Monchengladbach want a purchase clause in the deal.

And finally, we’re glad to see Chris Mepham back in the EFL as he joins West Brom. The Bournemouth defender spent last season on loan at Sunderland, and has now agreed terms with the Baggies with a medical booked.
