Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic has named the next three players to come through the door at the MKM Stadium.
Hull City have less than two weeks until their 2025/26 Championship season gets underway, and signings are the priority for Sergej Jakirovic’s side.
Although the Tigers are under a transfer fee restriction, Hull City chief Acun Ilicali is confident that it will be revoked. Nonetheless, moves are still being made for free agents.
Whilst Jakirovic has previously been tight-lipped regarding new arrivals at the MKM Stadium, the Hull City boss has now given insight into each of the Tigers’ next three signings and what to expect from them.

Despite being under a fee restriction, Hull City are still operating well in the current transfer window, as they look to bolster their options ahead of the new season.
It looks as though free agents will be Hull City’s priority this summer, with former Sheffield Wednesday defender Akin Famewo set to join following his Owls exit.
Jakirovic spoke about the arrival of Famewo, via Hull Daily Mail, and one expectation that the Tigers boss has of his new recruit: “Famewo is here with us. We left him at home to have two good training sessions because he didn’t play for a long time. He’s had some injuries, of course, but in my opinion, he’s a good player; he just needs to be healthy.”
Hull City are also set to bring in two players from the Super Lig, one of whom is former Sheffield United midfielder John Lundstram.
“I know him from Turkey, he’s a very good player,” said Jakirovic about Lundstram. “I think that we don’t have such a profile right now in the team, and if he comes, that will be perfect for us.”
Alongside the two recruits with Championship experience, Hull City are also taking a risk with a move for Turkish forward Enis Destan from Trabzonspor.
With 51 appearances in the Super Lig to his name, the 23-year-old may be able to build on his experience and perform in the Championship.
“Like John, I know him from Turkey. He’s one player who has a big potential. I believe his club doesn’t trust him one hundred percent, so he just needs an opportunity to play, but we will see what happens there.”

The Tigers have been smart with recent recruitments
When Hull City’s restrictions were placed upon them with immediate effect, supporters were understandably livid after it felt as though the club had condemned itself to a very tricky season in the Championship.
Hull City were not where they should have been last season, and it will be difficult to improve upon that with the current restrictions; however, Jared Dublin, the Head of Recruitment, has done well to identify solid free agent options.
It still looks set to be a difficult upcoming campaign for Hull City, but if they can follow up their trio of signings with a deal to bring in a proven Championship forward, supporters’ concerns will soon be relaxed.
