Stockport County and Luton Town have already begun to battle each other, with it expected both will be in the race for promotion this season from League One; however, this time it was over a signing.

As per information from our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that Stockport County will win the race to sign Owen Dodgson.

The full back had been looking for a Burnley exit upon the promotion of the club to the Premier League, with a number of top League One sides being interested in the 22-year-old.

It is now understood that he will be moving from Lancashire to Greater Manchester to sign for Stockport County, opting for the Hatters ahead of Luton Town.

The full back is known for his tireless work up and down the flank in both attack and defence, so he should add an extra dimension to Stockport in this manner.

He impressed while on loan at Burton Albion last season, as he featured in 22 League One games for them, creating four assists and scoring one goal.
