It’s starting to be a very busy transfer window at Watford, and they are making significant moves this summer ahead of the new Championship campaign.
Five signings have been made by the Hornets already, and there has been a huge focus on bringing more goals to the team with wingers and a striker made a priority.
Mileta Rajovic is leaving for a Polish league record after spending last season on loan at Brondby in Denmark, but with Vivaldo Semedo already through the door at Vicarage Road, there are plenty of reasons for those in Hertfordshire to have hope.
While two wingers have already been signed by Paulo Pezzolano, Watford are now pushing for a third and this could perhaps be the most exciting of them all. However, there is a twist.
Watford work deal with Bayern Munich for Nestory Irankunda
Late on Monday evening, it was reported by Fabrizio Romano that the Hornets are closing in on a deal for Bayern Munich youngster Nestory Irankunda.

He stated that the two clubs had agreed a €3m (£2.6m) fee for the 19-year-old, who is set to fly to England on Thursday for a medical.
Irankunda, who plays his international football for Australia at youth level, is set to put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Vicarage Road after spending time out on loan in Switzerland with Grasshoppers last season.
However, there is one part of the deal that could be quite alarming in the future.

Bayern will have a 50% sell-on clause on Nestory Irankunda
While Irankunda is a promising talent, he is also a player of relatively unknown stature and he may need time to adapt to the Championship.
However, if he does get firing, he could bring Watford some healthy profit in the years to come. Yet, there is a 50% sell-on clause in the deal and Bayern will bring in a significant portion of any fee in the future.
This will be a huge frustration to the Hornets, who recently benefited from a sell-on clause in Joao Pedro’s move to Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Nevertheless, this signing is a risk, and if it does pay off, then perhaps adding in that 50% to ensure a deal happens will be a genius move
