Norwich City managed to throw away a two-goal cushion at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night, but Danny Rohl was fairly humble in his post-match interview.
The Owls boss saw his team secure an incredibly important three points as they keep their unlikely play-off dreams alive heading into the final nine games of the season.
Wednesday have now leapfrogged Norwich and sit in tenth place in the Championship table, five points off the top six. The Canaries, meanwhile, are two points behind and look to be out of the race, with fans getting frustrated at Johannes Hoff Thorup.

Goals from Michael Ihiekwe, star man Josh Windass, and Djeidi Gassama sealed the win for Wednesday, but it could all have been very different based on where the two teams were at half-time.

Danny Rohl compliments Johannes Hoff Thorup
Danny Rohl had warned Norwich of the confidence in the Sheffield Wednesday camp prior to the game, and he was clearly onto something.
Speaking after the game, though, Rohl was highly complimentary of his opposite number, praising the organisation and approach of Johannes Hoff Thorup.
He said: “It is a strong side with a lot of individual quality, a good manager, I like his style of football. It’s not easy to press them and find access through the game.
“In the first half you could see it, in the goals, the quality they have. We were outplayed.”
Thankfully for Wednesday fans, things changed dramatically after the interval, and Rohl explained how his team managed to overcome the challenge presented to them by Norwich.
He added: “We came in at half time and we know what we have; the quality and the mentality of this group, we never give up. We changed players, shape, the pressing line, were a bit more aggressive and got on the front foot.
“You felt step by step we got into the game. But you need luck, too. They had two or three transition moments where they could kill us and the game would have been done.”

Sheffield Wednesday’s strength is Norwich City’s weakness
Norwich City cannot stop dropping points from winning positions right now. They held the record for the most points lost from such scenarios last season (29) and they are leading the way in that undesirable department once again this term (29 so far).
There is clearly something inherently wrong with the mentality and resilience among the Norwich players, and perhaps something Thorup needs to tweak in terms of his game management skills, too.
| Rank | Team | Defecits | W | D | L | Points |
| 1 | Sheffield Wednesday | 24 | 5 | 5 | 14 | 20 |
| 2 | Sunderland | 16 | 4 | 6 | 6 | 18 |
| 3 | Bristol City | 19 | 3 | 7 | 9 | 16 |
| 4 | Plymouth Argyle | 29 | 2 | 9 | 18 | 15 |
| 5 | Leeds United | 12 | 3 | 5 | 4 | 14 |
The opposite is true of Wednesday, though, who have now claimed the most points in the division from losing positions. The Owls have been behind a massive 24 times this season, but have picked up 20 points from those games.
Danny Rohl has instilled a togetherness and a fighting spirit into the Sheffield Wednesday team, and he just might be able to use that to get them over the line and into the top six.
