EFL Analysis can reveal that Queens Park Rangers have had a new contract offer turned down by an important star in favour of a move to League One outfit Wigan Athletic.
QPR have enjoyed an impressive summer transfer window so far following the arrival of new head coach Julien Stephan.
The Loftus Road hierarchy appointed Stephan to replace Marti Cifuentes, and since then have signed the likes of Kwame Poku and Rumarn Burrell while retaining in-demand defender Jimmy Dunne.
In terms of departures, QPR sold Charlie Kelman to Charlton Athletic last week in a bumper deal for the former 27-goal Leyton Orient loanee.
Now, EFL Analysis can confirm that Stephan is set to lose another member of his QPR squad this summer, this time to League One outfit Wigan Athletic.

Former QPR defender Morgan Fox is set to sign for Wigan Athletic
EFL Analysis reported back in April that Morgan Fox had Championship interest in his services, with the likes of Millwall, Blackburn Rovers, and Hull City interested in him as a free agent.
The 31-year-old’s contract at QPR expired this summer, which saw Charlton Athletic eye Fox for a return to the club he played 116 games for before joining Sheffield Wednesday.
Now, EFL Analysis can reveal with information from our Chief Football correspondent, Graeme Bailey, that Fox has finalised a shock move to Wigan after turning down a contract to stay at QPR.
Initially, Fox was set to stay at Loftus Road, having held talks with former club Charlton.
However, EFL Analysis can now reveal that Fox has signed a two-year deal with Wigan following extensive talks with manager Ryan Lowe, who has persuaded the player to make the move to the North West.
EFL Analysis can confirm that Fox will be presented to the Wigan faithful ahead of the opening game of the season against Northampton this afternoon (Saturday, August 2).

Morgan Fox’s career statistics ahead of Wigan Athletic move
Lowe’s side have made some impressive signings of their own so far this summer, namely with Paul Mullin joining Wigan from Wrexham on a season-long loan deal.
In our early 2025/26 League One predictions, EFL Analysis backed the Latics for a mid-table finish, but the acquisition of Fox could help Lowe make an impact on the play-off places this season.
| Club name | Morgan Fox appearances |
| Charlton Athletic | 116 |
| Sheffield Wednesday | 103 |
| Stoke City | 78 |
| QPR | 48 |
| Notts County (loan) | 7 |
Welsh international Fox brings with him to Wigan over 13 years of EFL experience, which will be pivotal to the Latics’ quest for promotion under Lowe after losing Toby Sibbick to Burton Albion.
Wigan, who finished 15th in League One last season, host Northampton this afternoon (August 2, 3 pm).
