Chris Wilder is set to become the Sheffield United manager for the third time, and the Blades fans are certainly pleased.
Chris Wilder was sacked in the summer following Sheffield United’s Championship play-off final defeat to Sunderland.
Ruben Selles was appointed as his successor, but after six defeats from the Spaniard’s first six in charge, the Bramall Lane hierarchy pulled the plug on his tenure after Sheffield United’s 5-0 loss to Ipswich Town.

Sheffield United fans slammed Wilder’s sacking, with one fan labelling it a “disgusting” decision from the Bramall Lane hierarchy.
Unsurprisingly, given the circumstances surrounding his summer exit and the Blades’ barren start to the season, the verdict is unanimous from Sheffield United supporters.
After one Sheffield United expert blasted the owners for sacking Wilder following Selles’ disastrous start, the feeling among the Bramall Lane faithful on social media was clear when asked if they want Wilder back.
One Sheffield United fan said: “100% Blade it’s his club”, as another posted: “He’s a Blade, just like us! 100% yes”.
A third fan said: “Yes we do once a Blade always a Blade”, as another added: “Yes please born and bred a Blade”.
“Want him back? We were all astonished he was sacked in the first place”, said another Sheffield United fan.
A sixth Blade said: “100% YES, should never have been sacked, he should have been backed to push on. Only got two transfer windows and worked miracles”.

QPR sit 12th after five games, with nine goals scored and 12 conceded, which shows that scoring is arguably more important than being resolute at the back.
Therefore, Wilder must prioritise rebuilding Sheffield United’s dynamism in front of goal, given that the Blades have registered only one league goal so far this season.
Wilder must resolve many glaring issues at Sheffield United, but the Blades’ bluntness in front of goal has to be the top priority to remedy ahead of the visit of Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
