Sheffield Wednesday are on the hunt for another addition to their coaching set-up.
Sheffield Wednesday have endured an extremely difficult start to the Championship season under Henrik Pedersen, with the crisis-stricken Owls sitting second off the bottom after four defeats and a draw.
Reports emerged this week that Sheffield Wednesday are under two new transfer embargoes amid the latest failures from owner Dejphon Chansiri.
As a result, Sheffield Wednesday are unable to sign Duncan Watmore after their interest in the former Millwall forward came to light.
However, despite being unable to add to the playing squad, the Sheffield Wednesday hierarchy are on the hunt for recruits in the dugout, with a former Birmingham City coach on their radar.

Sheffield Wednesday target coach Peter Shuttleworth
Alex Miller of the Sheffield Star revealed that Sheffield Wednesday are targeting former Birmingham coach Peter Shuttleworth following his exit from Wycombe Wanderers.
Wycombe sacked Mike Dodds this week, with his number two, Shuttleworth, also departing the Chairboys.
The Owls have already bolstered their backroom set-up recently, with Sheffield Wednesday recruiting Craig Mudd from Premier League giants Manchester City to join Pedersen’s staff.
Now, Shuttleworth could become the latest Sheffield Wednesday recruit as Pedersen continues to add to his technical team for the season ahead, and get the Owls up the table.

Pedersen told The Star this week: “We have looked for a goalkeeping coach. We look for another assistant coach, and then we will see what the land looks like.
“We need one that will help with the defensive stuff, and that is the first priority now.”
Shuttleworth worked at the Owls’ Steel City neighbours Sheffield FC in the early stages of his career, but has spent the majority of his time in football working under Wayne Rooney.
Most recently, the two linked up at Plymouth Argyle, and Rooney already told Owls fans what to expect from “outstanding” coach Shuttleworth.

Wayne Rooney believes Peter Shuttleworth is “outstanding”
Shuttleworth first linked up with Rooney as a first-team analyst and coach at Derby County, before continuing their connection across the pond by becoming his assistant at DC United.
Following that, Shuttleworth worked as a first-team coach at Birmingham, and then joined Plymouth in June 2024 as the Manchester United legend’s assistant head coach.
After Shuttleworth’s appointment at Argyle last June, Rooney told Plymouth’s website: “Pete is someone who I have known for a long time having worked together at previous football clubs.
“He is an excellent coach with footballing ideals that match mine and Argyle’s but is also an outstanding motivator and has a real knowledge of tactical and performance analysis.
“Ultimately, he is a great person who holds all the values that the football club and I look for and he will complement our current group of coaching staff perfectly.”
Shuttleworth left Argyle due to personal matters in December, and Mike Phelan came as his replacement, shortly before Rooney was sacked.
Unfortunately for Pedersen, Shuttleworth does not look likely to be appointed before Sheffield Wednesday’s trip to Portsmouth, but Rooney’s praise ought to excite the Owls faithful regarding his potential arrival.
