Swansea City have made an offer for an impressive League One talent, but face competition from EFL rivals for his signature.
Alan Sheehan oversaw an impressive run of form towards the end of the 2024/25 Championship campaign, and that promise has continued into the post-season summer.
Sheehan took over after Swansea sacked Luke Williams, guiding the Welsh giants to pick up ten points from their final five games of the season.
At boardroom level, there have been celebrity additions, with Real Madrid icon Luka Modric joining Swansea as a minority shareholder. Most recently, rap star Snoop Dogg has become a Swansea co-owner.
With Swansea’s standing growing, and Sheehan plotting a Premier League return, the Welsh giants are now in the frame to sign a “standout” performer in League One.

Swansea City send Lincoln City an offer for Ethan Erhahon
After Lincoln City finished the League One campaign in a disappointing 11th place, transfer speculation over defensive midfielder Ethan Erhahon was inevitable.
In May, EFL Analysis exclusively revealed that six EFL clubs were tracking Erhahon, after the Scottish star’s stellar season at the base of the Imps’ midfield.
Now, it appears that Erhahon’s next destination could be Swansea, who face competition from Championship and League One rivals for his signature.
Reporter Ben Jacobs revealed on X: “Lincoln City have received offers for midfielder Ethan Erhahon from Wigan Athletic and Swansea City, while Bolton Wanderers and Oxford United have also enquired.
“Erhahon was left out of the matchday squad to face Grimsby yesterday after informing Lincoln he wants to leave.
“Lincoln are prepared to sell one of their standout performers, likely for a club-record fee.”
Considering Swansea’s aforementioned celebrity backing, and after the Swans finished higher in the EFL leagues than the other three Erhahon suitors, the Welsh giants would likely be the most attractive proposition for the 24-year-old.

EFL Expert has already told Swansea City to sign Ethan Erhahon
One EFL expert tipped Swansea to sign Erhahon earlier in the summer window, after the Scottish midfielder was dubbed as one of the best players in League One last season.
On Erhahon, George Elek of the Not the Top 20 podcast told Dragon Sports: “He’s competent on the ball, but his best qualities are in terms of breaking up play, and winning the ball back and recycling it effectively,
“He’s been a standout player in League One over the last couple of seasons in terms of doing that,
“He definitely is deserving of his Championship move, if Swansea were able to get him.
“I think we’ll see Sheehan look to use the ball and be a bit more direct with it, and look to dominate the game, still dominate the ball…
“But also have an understanding that having a player like Erhahon, who can sit at the base of midfield and win the ball back, and distribute it, to those further forward, might be the best way to go about things.”
If Swansea beat Wigan, Bolton, and Oxford United to Erhahon’s signature as expected, then Sheehan will continue building a squad that could be capable of entering top-six contention in the 2025/26 Championship campaign.
