Leicester City’s search for a new manager appears to be drawing to a conclusion as a new name enters the shortlist.
It’s been over 60 days since the Foxes were relegated from the Premier League and they remain the only side in the Football League without a manager after parting ways with Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Chris Wilder seems like a popular suggestion among Leicester fans but according to John Percy, Gary O’Neil is also on the shortlist after being interviewed for the job.
Danny Rohl was also linked with Leicester and Lee Carsley’s name has also been mentioned.
There seems to be confusion about what Leicester want their identity to be, but there is one obvious connection that explains why both O’Neil and Wilder have been tipped to take the reins at the King Power Stadium.

Chris Wilder and Gary O’Neil have the same agent as several Foxes stars
Wilder and O’Neil are both very different options from the likes of Rohl, Carsley and Sean Dyche but there is a common theme emerging.
Both managers are represented by Wasserman agents, who have close connections to the Foxes.
A number of Leicester players are represented by the group, including Hamza Choudhury, Ben Nelson, Victor Kristiansen, Luke Thomas, Jordan Ayew, and Patson Daka.
The Wasserman website also stated that: “Our portfolio includes English Premier League venues such as Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, West Ham and Leicester City.”
Under-fire director of football Jon Rudkin is also likely to have a strong relationship with the agency, and the pieces align perfectly for the job.
Leicester City could be using manager update to put pressure on Danny Rohl

Percy’s latest report confirmed that the Foxes hoped to appoint a manager within the next week but, one missing detail was Rohl.
The German has told Sheffield Wednesday he will leave and hasn’t been taking training since the Owls returned to pre-season.
Rohl seems to be the favourite among Leicester fans and no mention of his name is a worry to some.
However, could this latest update be perceived as the Foxes putting pressure on Rohl to commit to the Leicester job?
Either way, the search is coming to an end and Leicester should have someone in place before their season opener on 10 August.
