Leeds United have stormed their way to the Premier League this season, but ahead of a gruelling top-flight campaign, a flawless recruitment strategy will need nailing.
Leeds’ 4-0 thumping of Bristol City edged them closer to the Championship title on Monday as some incredible celebrations broke out at Elland Road.
Heading into the final day, Daniel Farke’s men just need to equal, or better Burnley’s result to lift the trophy due to their superior goal difference.
The completion of the 2024/25 season then leaves supporters excited for the summer ahead, and it could involve several incomings and outgoings from West Yorkshire.
Patrick Bamford is likely to leave Leeds, for instance, while it’s become clear who the Whites should sign first once the window opens.

Leeds United should make Julio Enciso their first summer signing
Although Farke’s Leeds future is uncertain, amid speculation that the board could replace him despite promotion, plans will be put in place for a squad overhaul.
The top-flight newcomers need to bolster multiple positions, including goalkeeper, centre-back, attacking midfielder and striker.
Leeds want to sign Manor Solomon permanently, who has been a revelation on loan from Tottenham, and they should use that market to their advantage once more.
The Premier League allows each team two domestic loans, and since attacking midfield is a position that needs strengthening, Farke should make Brighton’s Julio Enciso his first signing.
In January, Leeds failed in their pursuit of the Paraguayan as he preferred a move to Ipswich Town, per BBC Sport, but the door could be open for a second bite at the cherry.
Enciso is someone who offers attributes that Farke has missed in attack, such as his ability to shoot from range, his ball manipulation in tight areas and incredible passing range.
Brenden Aaronson has been criticised by Leeds fans for his performances throughout this campaign, and as he currently occupies Enciso’s best position, the 21-year-old could be a huge upgrade.
How Enciso compares to Brenden Aaronson
When comparing the two players’ respective statistics, it’s clear Enciso is more of a threat than Aaronson in the final third, posting more shots, successful take-ons and assists per 90.
| Brenden Aaronson | Statistics per 90 2024/25 | Julio Enciso |
| 2.13 | Shots total | 3.94 |
| 0.05 | Assists | 0.30 |
| 1.27 | Successful take-ons | 3.05 |
| 3.68 | Shot-creating actions | 3.28 |
| 4.07 | Progressive passes | 3.54 |
| 4.30 | Touches (att pen.) | 3.15 |

It’s worth noting that Enciso is playing in a relegated Premier League side, yet some of his best attributes have stood out under Kieran McKenna, while Aaronson has been deployed in an all-conquering Leeds United team.
Aaronson also struggled on his last venture in the top-flight, suggesting the Brighton youngster would be an ideal replacement this summer.
