Leeds United legend Stuart Dallas reveals thoughts on Daniel Farke situation at Elland Road amid reports he may be sacked after guiding club back to the Premier League.

After a week of uncertainty regarding Daniel Farke’s job situation, Leeds United sent out a resounding message on Monday evening with their 4-0 rout of Bristol City.

Goals from Ao Tanaka, Wilfried Gnonto and a late brace from substitute Largie Ramazani took Leeds one step closer to the Championship title.

The comfortable win over Liam Manning’s side leaves the Whites needing to match Burnley’s result on the final day to become champions on goal difference.

Despite their Premier League promotion, reports emerged last week that Leeds are considering replacing Farke in the summer, with a return to former club Norwich City on the cards for Farke.

Before the Bristol City win, one Leeds legend had his say on Farke’s job hanging in the balance.

Stuart Dallas comments on Daniel Farke’s future at Leeds United

After the Championship play-off final loss to Southampton last summer, many thought Leeds would sack Farke, but the German head coach has resurrected his defeated side and secured promotion.

Leeds have gone one better this season, dodging the dreaded play-offs and securing automatic promotion, breaking records set under Marcelo Bielsa in the process.

One of Bielsa’s most important players in his time at Elland Road, Stuart Dallas, was on punditry duty for Sky Sports football on Monday evening and shared his thoughts on the Farke situation.

Dallas, who played 266 times for the Whites, told Sky Sports on Farke: “Let’s not forget as well, he lost three of his best players from last season too, he lost Crysencio Summerville, Archie Gray and Georginio Ruiter,

“To do what he has done this year again he deserves so much credit, I think it would be really harsh (to sack him).

“I can see why fans are having their reservations about it, because of his record with Norwich when he did go up.”

Dallas admitted that fans have their “reservations” about Farke spearheading Leeds’ Premier League survival bid next season, given the German’s record at Norwich City, and rightly so.

Daniel Farke has worrying record as Premier League coach

Promoted duo Leeds and Burnley know the task at hand to survive in the top flight, but Farke’s latest comments indicate the Whites want to become an “established Premier League side” again and will spend accordingly.

The former Norwich boss has suffered in the Premier League, sacked just after his first top flight win with the Canaries.

In two spells at Carrow Road, Farke’s top flight record makes for concerning viewing, a worry on the 49ers’ radar given the reports he may be replaced.
