The future of Danny Rohl at Sheffield Wednesday has been cast into doubt over the last few months.
The Owls are undergoing a period of turmoil thanks to the dismal ownership of Dejphon Chansiri.
Sheffield Wednesday couldn’t pay wages in March, with ‘cashflow’ problems cited by their owner.
It’s the latest in a long line of completely avoidable nightmares the Thai businessman has thrust upon the club.
The Yorkshire outfit were unable to register players late in 2024 due to another case of poor financial management.
But while a sale of Sheffield Wednesday has been mooted in recent weeks, that’s unlikely to happen anytime soon.
To make matters worse, it’s been suggested that Danny Rohl could leave Sheffield Wednesday in the near future.

Leicester City identify Danny Rohl as Ruud van Nistelrooy replacement
EFL Analysis understands that included in his Sheffield Wednesday contract, Rohl has a release clause of just under £5m.
And there are seemingly a number of clubs who would be interested in activating that to pry the German away from Hilsborough.
We are aware that Southampton have shown interest, while reports earlier this week linked RB Leipzig with Rohl following their manager being sacked.
More recently, meanwhile, with Leicester City’s relegation back down to the Championship all but confirmed, the Foxes are on the lookout for a Ruud van Nistelrooy replacement.
According to the Daily Mail, the Midlands outfit want the Sheffield Wednesday boss to take over from the Dutchman.
Should that indeed happen, it seems obvious that Rohl will look to bring one Owls player to the King Power Stadium with him.

Danny Rohl could sign Josh Windass to replace Bilal El Khannouss as Leicester City
With Leicester on their way down to the second tier, it’s inevitable that their better players will be moved on.
On this front, one of the obvious names to depart given his quality is Bilal El Khannouss, who Africa Foot reported recently is wanted by Arsenal, Lazio and Leipzig and will be forced to secure a transfer if Leicester go down.
Given his importance to the Foxes, he will need to be replaced next season, and if Rohl is the man to step into the dugout, he would no doubt love to bring Josh Windass in.
Windass was linked with a move to Brazil in January, as per The Gurdian, and has continued to excel in the second half of 2024/25.
Josh Windass 2024/25
Goals: 11
Assists: 6
Appearances: 40
He is Sheffield Wednesday’s top goalscorer, and the versatile number 10 would be an ideal replacement for El Khannouss.
And as the Owls look set to lose their best manager in decades and are struggling financially, it’s hard to see a top player like him wanting to stick around for much longer.
