It’s been a very busy week in the EFL for moves in the market, so we’ve compiled the biggest deals and rumours in our Championship transfer round-up.

The summer transfer window is now in full swing, and Championship clubs have wasted no time in securing new signings, with rumours of a lot more to come.

Over the last few days we’ve seen Portsmouth make their first signing, while Wrexham confirmed the transfer of Ryan Hardie, too.

But, what deals are next in the pipeline for clubs in the second tier? You’ll find all the biggest and best rumours and exclusive stories in our Championship transfer round-up.

Birmingham City linked with a slew of transfer targets

We broke the news that Birmingham had been offered Oliver Antman this summer, and Blues fans are very excited about that prospect. They will face competition from other Championship clubs, including Blackburn Rovers.

No progress has been made regarding another potential signing, though, with NEC Nijmegen waiting for an approach for Sontje Hansen from Birmingham. The Dutch outfit want £4.2m for the winger.

Birmingham are also doing work on Richard Kone. They will have to beat the likes of Middlesbrough for the Wycombe forward, though. At the same time, the Chairboys are hoping to keep Kone with the promise of a massive contract offer.

Meanwhile, it is thought Krystian Bielik will stay at Birmingham. The defender may only be a squad player for the Blues next season, but will not be forced out of the club.

Liam Manning is not messing about at Norwich

One man who may pop up regularly in our Championship transfer round-up is Liam Manning. The new Norwich manager already bagged one of the signings of the summer in Harry Darling, and he’s plotting the capture of Tyrhys Dolan now.

We’re told talks have taken place with the Blackburn winger already. But, crucially, Dolan is exploring his options with plenty of interest elsewhere.

Norwich also seem to have won the race for Jakov Medic. The powerful defender will sign from Ajax for around £2.5m, turning Birmingham, Middlesbrough, and West Brom down for the Canaries.

Manning has also secured the signings of Louie Moulden from Crystal Palace and Reece Wilkes from Fleetwood Town this week.

Rob Edwards may seek Alfie Doughty reunion

Middlesbrough have chosen Rob Edwards as their new manager this week, and we expect a couple of signings to come soon.

First of all, a reunion with Alfie Doughty is on the cards. The Luton Town full-back is expected to leave this summer, and would be an ideal fit for Edwards at Boro.

Middlesbrough also want Alfie Gilchrist from Chelsea. He’s been told he can leave the Blues, and a permanent transfer to Boro could happen.

Championship transfer round-up concludes as Leicester City hope to keep star man and Southampton plot £8.5m move

We conclude this week’s Championship transfer round-up with a run through some other stories from the league. First of all, Leicester City should be confident of keeping Bilal El Khannouss. They are under no pressure to sell, but it will all depend on who their new manager is, if and when Ruud van Nistelrooy goes.

Southampton could sign Willem Geubbels this summer, but face competition from Sheffield United. He was once hailed as the next Kylian Mbappe and signed by Monaco for £17m, but hasn’t quite lived up to the hype.

Elsewhere, Stoke City may cash in on Million Manhoef this summer. He may be their best player, but could bring in a fee of £10m which would help Stoke when it comes to PSR.

Finally, Oli McBurnie is wanted by Swansea. It looks like he’ll be choosing between the Swans, Hull City, and Sheffield United this summer.
