Every new signing and departure at Wrexham in the 2025 summer transfer window

The 2025/26 Championship campaign is one that Wrexham supporters are extremely excited for.

The Red Dragons have won three successive promotions, and after finding themselves languishing in non-league for 15 years, they have already pushed into the EFL’s top division with the Premier League now within touching distance.

However, this summer is an important one for Phil Parkinson as he looks to recruit stars that have plenty of experience at this level and beyond.

He also has to decide on which players must depart, and with the retained list at Wrexham already released, work has started on shaping the squad for next season and EFL Analysis has taken a look at every new signing, every exit and those who have been linked with a move to the Racecourse Ground.

Every confirmed signing at Wrexham

It’s been a slow start to the summer in terms of incomings in North Wales, and the Red Dragons are still waiting for their first new signing.

However, there are plenty of players that have been linked with a move to the club as they prepare for life in the Championship.

Several Premier League free agents are on Parkinson’s list and with the transfer window closing on June 10, before re-opening on June 16, Wrexham will have to move quickly if they are to secure their first signing of the summer before it slams shut for a week.

Every player to have left the Red Dragons this summer

While they are yet to sign a player, the Red Dragons have let go of six players this summer already after releasing their retained list.

Seasoned striker Steven Fletcher will depart the Racecourse Ground, alongside fellow 38-year-old Mark Howard after the goalkeeper had been involved in all three of his team’s promotions in the last few years.

Sam Dalby has also left after his loan spell in Scotland with Dundee United. He was offered a new deal in January but turned it down. While young shot-stoppers Liam Hall and Bradley Foster will become free agents as their contracts come to an end at the Racecourse Ground.

Josh Adam is set to depart after June 30, with Jordan Davies the sixth and final Wrexham player to leave on a free.

The latest Wrexham transfer rumours

With the first signing still to come, the Red Dragons have already shown interest in a number of new players.

Aaron Cresswell is being targeted by Wrexham after his contract at West Ham United was not renewed. The left-back is now 35, but he played 18 times in the Premier League last season and would add plenty of experience to Parkinson’s team.

The Red Dragons are also showing interest in Danny Ings who, just like Cresswell, is set to leave the Hammers. EFL Analysis exclusively revealed that they do face competition from Birmingham City for the signature of the striker, however.

Meanwhile, Blackburn Rovers’ Lewis Travis is a target of Wrexham’s, with the midfielder being valued at £2m by the Lancashire outfit, with Derby County set to battle with Parkinson’s side for Craig Dawson.
