It’s been a busy weekend for clubs in the second tier and as the rumour mill continues to spin, we share the biggest stories in our Championship transfer round-up.
It’s less than two weeks until the first round of Championship fixtures begin, and teams are now very clearly starting to realise they have to make some moves quickly to be ready for the season to begin.
Our previous Championship transfer round-up featured Middlesbrough and Sheffield United rather prominently, and both teams are at it again this time round.
For the latest stories on Boro, the Blades, and many more, dive into our new Championship transfer round-up and see who’s been active this weekend.

Championship transfer round-up: Middlesbrough could suffer double transfer blow
The biggest story of the weekend sees Middlesbrough braced for a double attack from Ipswich Town. We’re told the Tractor Boys want Hayden Hackney and his teammate Dael Fry.
Hackney missed Boro’s latest game and looks set to leave the club. However, it is thought Fry would be much harder to prise away from the Riverside.
Still, at least Middlesbrough have Alfie Jones now. He completed his move from Hull City and sent a heartwarming message to the Tigers.
Coventry City set Milan van Ewijk asking price
Another player poised for an exit this summer is Milan van Ewijk. Coventry City want £8m for the full-back, with Besiktas thought to be keen.
Coventry recently signed Carl Rushworth on loan. The youngster joins from Brighton for the season.
Meanwhile, the Sky Blues have just earned a nice payday thanks to Viktor Gyokeres’ move to Arsenal. Coventry had a 10% sell-on fee in the deal that took the striker to Sporting Lisbon.

Will Still ready to sell players at Southampton
Amid ongoing pre-season preparations, Will Still has seen the pros and cons of the Southampton team he inherited. The Saints boss has admitted ‘several’ players need to leave now, while more new faces are needed.
However, Still is very happy with Damian Downs. The Southampton new boy bagged a goal against Espanyol this weekend.
One player Still doesn’t want to lose is Matheus Fernandes. We’re told Southampton plan to keep Fernandes despite top flight interest.
Sheffield United plotting Antman move
Sheffield United are really picking up pace in the transfer market now, and this won’t be the last time we mention them in our Championship transfer round-up.
After capturing Louie Barry, United are now keen to sign Oliver Antman from Go Ahead Eagles. He was top of the assist chart in the Eredivisie last season and has been offered to several Championship clubs.
The Blades also want to sign Tim Iroegbunam from Everton. The midfielder joined the Toffees last summer for £9m but could move on loan this term.
Meanwhile, Sheffield United are looking to deter Premier League interest in one of their star men. They just placed a £15m price tag on Michael Cooper amid links to West Ham.

Championship transfer round-up: QPR swap strikers, Swansea lead McBurnie race, Nzonzi back at Stoke
We conclude our Championship transfer round-up with a blitz through the other teams in the league.
QPR sold Charlie Kelman to Charlton Athletic, which could be a mistake. Fans are even more confused after QPR signed Rumarn Burrell as a replacement.
Hull City and Ipswich may be disappointed, after Swansea were named favourites to sign Oli McBurnie. The experienced striker is still a free agent and has a big decision to make.
Elsewhere, Mark Robins has Steven Nzonzi training at Stoke. He’s been urged to sign the former Potters star, and a contract could well be on the way for the veteran Frenchman.
And finally, Hull plan to bring in John Lundstram and Enis Destan to join Akin Famewo. Those three would all be free transfers, as the Tigers are under a transfer ban.
