Sheffield United have had a dreadful start to the season, and in front of goal, their issues are clear to see.
The Blades have scored just one goal from six games, and Chris Wilder is currently managing the Championship’s least clinical team.
Tom Cannon has struggled greatly, and while the underlying stats for Sheffield United point to a positive future, the present situation is bleak and they sit at the foot of the league table.
Nevertheless, one former Blades starlet, who struggled to make an impact at Bramall Lane, now has the opportunity to make a name for himself elsewhere as a League One side look to rescue themselves from their own dire situation.

Burton Albion look to sign former Sheffield United striker Tyler Smith
Tyler Smith came through the ranks at Sheffield United, but he made just the one appearance for the club before permanently moving to Hull City in the summer of 2021.

However, he struggled to make an impact at the MKM Stadium, and after a loan spell at Oxford United, he eventually joined Bradford City.
The Bantams released the striker at the end of last season, and now, according to Alan Nixon, Burton Albion are looking to make a move for the 26-year-old.
The Brewers are sitting bottom of League One, with just five points from seven games, and Gary Bowyer is in desperate need of reinforcements if they are to turn their season around and once again avoid relegation to League Two.
Tyler Smith failed to make any sort of impression at Sheffield United
It’s been four years since Smith departed Sheffield United, and his sole appearance for the club is not exactly one supporters will remember.
He played 64 minutes of the Blades’ 1-0 Carabao Cup first round win over Carlisle United in the 2021/2022 season, before leaving Bramall Lane for Hull.
Smith has found success tough to find in his career, and he has already played for nine teams at the age of just 26.
Nevertheless, Burton need salvation and if he can find form similar to which he enjoyed at Barrow in the past, then he may just be the player to help give Bowyer’s side the lift they need.
