Leicester City’s chances of selling Wout Faes and two others revealed as Turkish transfer window deadline approaches

Leicester City had a very busy summer in the transfer window.

16 players left the King Power Stadium, including Mads Hermansen to West Ham United and Bilal El Khannouss to Stuttgart.

Marti Cifuentes was able to sign five players, replacing Jamie Vardy with Julian Carranza, as well as loans for Jordan James and Aaron Ramsey, and also bring in two goalkeepers on free transfers.

With the Turkish Super Lig’s transfer window closing on Friday 12 September, there is still an opportunity for some players to head for the exit door, including Wout Faes.

Leicester City unlikely to part ways with trio of players

EFL Analysis have been told by our chief transfer expert Graeme Bailey that the chances of Victor Kristiansen, Wout Faes and Patson Daka leaving are all very slim.

Leicester rejected bids for Daka earlier in the window, while Faes was told to leave by Belgium boss Rudi Garcia.

Kristiansen is the Foxes’ most valuable player in the squad, however, it seems they will all be staying.

Bailey added: “I think at the end of the day it’s looking unlikely at this point for any of those three to get out, despite Leicester hoping to do business. It’s looking tough.

“I think it’ll be very difficult for them to get any of them out at this point. It’s bad news for everyone in a way, but there is obviously a situation where any of those three could play a role in the Championship.”

Can the Leicester trio have a role to play?

It seems that only two of the three stand a chance of playing a role in the Foxes’ quest to get back to the Premier League.

Faes and Daka have both made appearances so far this season, with the former scoring a header against Sheffield Wednesday.

On the other hand, Kristiansen is yet to feature under Cifuentes and hasn’t even been named in the squad.

The future looks uncertain for him, and as it stands, will be left in the dark until January.
