Swansea City are still searching for a striker to strengthen the club up top after their failed pursuit of Richard Kone, as they look to give Alan Sheehan the best chance possible to make it a memorable season.
The Swans missed out on the signing of Richard Kone, with the striker opting to join Championship rivals QPR instead.
The Welsh club have made a disjointed start to the campaign, having won, lost and drawn once this season; however, they will be looking to correct this at the weekend against Sheffield Wednesday.
Luka Modric is now on the board in South Wales and will surely understand the need to strengthen, while Snoop Dogg has also invested in the Swans during a summer of change.
Now the club have been linked to a striker from a European giant, who seems to be looking towards the exit door.
Swansea City are interested in Adam Idah
The Swans had previously been linked to Schalke striker Moussa Sylla, who was valued at £5.5 million; however, this interest never materialised, and now they have seemingly pivoted to Adam Idah.
The Republic of Ireland international is currently playing his football at Celtic; however, he has endured a torrid time at the club since signing permanently for a reported fee of £9 million.
Following the Scottish club’s exit from the Champions League, it looks like he is ready to move back to English football, with Swansea interested; that is according to the Scottish Sun.
The 24-year-old has never been a prolific striker during his spells with Norwich City or Celtic, apart from his loan spell at the Scottish side before joining permanently, when he scored eight goals in 15 appearances.
However, he has failed to reach these heights again while wearing the green and white, and so a move away may be the best move for the striker, with Swansea City interested.
Brendan Rodgers had loved the signing of Adam Idah
The Northern Irishman was a huge fan of Adam Idah when he was initially signed permanently by the club; however, this relationship has started to wane.
Brendan Rodgers has had to defend Idah on a number of occasions, and it appears the price tag may be weighing heavily on his shoulders.
However, upon signing him, Rodgers told the club website: “The club has done brilliantly to secure this long-term deal. We are investing in a player of real quality who will be crucial for us over the next few years.

“He is a player who already has given us so much, performing fantastically for us on loan and really delivering for the club and our fans last season.
“He played a pivotal role in our success last year, and I know he can be hugely important for us again.
“Adam has fantastic attributes, and he is a dynamic, hungry, committed player who can make a real difference.”
