EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that Lee Carsley is not among the list of five managers to be interviewed for the Leicester City job.
Chris Wilder and Gary O’Neil have been interviewed by the Foxes, with Danny Rohl and Sean Dyche also two of the names in contention to replace Ruud van Nistelrooy.
John Percy of The Telegraph claimed that there were two unnamed candidates also in the mix at the King Power Stadium and we can now reveal that Carsley wasn’t in the running.

Lee Carsley won’t be the new Leicester manager
EFL Analysis’ Chief Football Correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Carsley was never on the list of candidates for the job and that he will remain in charge of the England U21s.
Bailey added that it is his understanding that Wilder and Rohl are the leading candidates to take the job.

Rohl has told Sheffield Wednesday he is leaving already whereas Wilder was sacked by Sheffield United for failing to earn promotion to the Premier League.
Despite that, Wilder has the backing of several Leicester fans to take the reins if appointed.
When will Leicester City have a new manager?
It’s been over 70 days since the Foxes were relegated from the top flight and less than two weeks since Leicester sacked Van Nistelrooy.
Fans have been left in the dark and so far, Andy King has been in charge of Leicester during the early stages of pre-season.
However, it seems like there is finally light at the end of the tunnel with hopes that an appointment can be confirmed by the end of this week.
