There has been discontent stirring amongst Sheffield Wednesday supporters this summer after months of silence from Dejphon Chansiri.
Sheffield Wednesday were reportedly close to a takeover back in July; however, such talks quietened down.
A report, via Alan Nixon on Patreon, has since emerged that suggests that ‘Sheffield Wednesday are telling their unhappy players that a takeover is coming in a bid to stop a walkout’.
Whilst some players are close to their tether with the club and are keen to move on, senior staff, including Henrik Pedersen, have been ‘advising them that a new owner will be in soon and new deals will be on offer’.
This has been relayed to the players during the crisis, although it is reported that ‘Dejphon Chansiri has still to find any agreement and is currently talking with a couple of interested parties’.

Squad depth is already in a dire state, with many experienced Championship players moving on from Sheffield Wednesday, and a continuation of that would only make the task at hand for Henrik Pedersen go from incredibly challenging to insurmountable.
