Derby County in ‘advanced stage’ of transfer deal and are set to beat several European clubs to €2.5m signing

Derby County are still looking for a victory in the Championship, after they snatched a late draw against Bristol City in their third league game of the campaign.

John Eustace will look to the positives, as they secured their first point of the Championship campaign with that draw against Bristol City and that they went to the end to secure this, despite his players looking off the pace.

Fans watching the game on Sky Sports were frustrated by the coverage, as the colour being sent through TV screens was not what people were used to, and the in-game commentator apologised for the picture.

Derby County have identified that they need reinforcements, as they are having to deal with an early-season injury crisis and so they look set to spend £5 million this weekend to sort these concerns.

Derby County closing in on Max Johnston

It has been reported on social media by Sacha Tavolieri that Max Johnston is at an ‘advanced stage’ in a deal to join Derby County from Sturm Graz.

According to the journalist, the deal between Derby County and Sturm Graz will be worth up to €2.5m; this is after the Rams had several bids rejected for the Scottish international.

However, it has been reported that Derby face competition from several European clubs, as the Scottish international has impressed during his time in Austria.

This is not expected to be the last piece of business Derby are expected to do before the close of the summer transfer window on September 1.

Derby set to sign Lewis Travis

The Rams are said to have agreed a deal with Blackburn Rovers for the signature of the Lancashire club’s captain to move to Pride Park.

Lewis Travis has made it clear that he wanted to make the move to be reunited with his former manager John Eustace.

Derby are set to sign the pair before the end of the weekend, with the deal for the duo likely to be worth a combined fee of £5 million.
