Ruben Selles was the latest in a long list of Championship managers to be axed from their role, and one defender could follow him out of Hull City.
Acun Ilicali sacked Ruben Selles from his role as Hull City manager on Thursday, sparking outrage from most of the fanbase.
Hull fans wanted Selles to stay, feeling he deserved an opportunity to assemble a squad in the summer transfer window after keeping the Tigers up on goal difference.
It was made clear why Ilicali sacked Selles, despite it being an unpopular decision, as City only won two of their final nine matches and required help from Luton Town on the final day to preserve their Championship status.
But whilst their season imploded following the international break, fans were still sad to see the Spaniard leave, and he isn’t the only one poised to exit the MKM Stadium.

Hull City’s Cody Drameh is wanted by Toulouse and Stade Reims
According to Foot Mercato, Hull right-back Cody Drameh is being tracked by Ligue 1 sides Toulouse and Stade Reims ahead of the summer transfer window.
The report claims the 23-year-old could arrive at a French top division side in the ‘coming weeks’, after being tracked in 2024 before his transfer to the Tigers.
Hull captured Drameh on a permanent transfer from Leeds United, seeing him as an option to challenge Lewie Coyle for a place at right-back, while also filling in at left-back when needed.
The former England under-21 star made 28 appearances for his side in the Championship in 2024/25, scoring once, though only one of his starts came in their final 17 matches of the campaign.
Perhaps feeling frustrated by his lack of game time, even when fans were urging him to start over underperforming captain Coyle, he may feel like it’s best if he moves on.
It promises to be another chaotic summer rebuild in East Yorkshire, with a new manager taking charge and a raft of first-team players joining and exiting the club.

Steven Alzate among several Hull players likely to leave
Drameh could exit the club in the next few weeks, and he isn’t the only one being courted, as Getafe and Valencia want to sign midfielder Steven Alzate.
The 26-year-old only joined Hull in September 2024 after leaving Brighton, but the Colombian wants to challenge himself abroad, favouring a switch to Spain.
Alongside Drameh and Alzate, City have multiple players set to depart on a free transfer, including Nordin Amrabat, Joao Pedro and the forgotten Dogukan Sinik.
Meanwhile, multiple loan players will return to their parent clubs, most notably Leeds United’s Joe Gelhardt, Louie Barry, Finley Burns and Lincoln.
That is as many as nine individuals leaving the MKM Stadium before interest is likely to be shown in goalkeeper Ivor Pandur and arguably centre-back Charlie Hughes.
