If you can’t keep up with the chaos ahead of deadline day, we’ve got you covered with our latest Championship transfer round-up.
With two games now played, clubs in the Championship have a good idea what they still need to improve. As such, we’re seeing plenty more movement from the rumour mill when it comes to transfers in the second tier.
Disappointing starts to the campaign have seen alarm bells ringing at Sheffield United and Leicester City. Meanwhile, the likes of Wrexham and Ipswich Town still want to do more business.
There’s less than two weeks left of the summer transfer window now, so let’s see what’s going on in our Championship transfer round-up this week.

Championship transfer round-up: Sheffield United busy fixing defensive issues
It is thought Sheffield United are closing in on a deal to sign Ben Mee on a free transfer. The veteran defender was released by Brentford this summer.
The Blades have also bid around £2.5m for Nils Zatterstrom. The centre-half actually plays for Malmo, a former club of Anel Ahmedhodzic, and could now replace the Bosnian at Bramall Lane.
It could be a busy couple of weeks for United, especially after the poor showing in the first two games of the season. We understand the Blades are also watching Max Johnston, who has been eyed up by Derby County, Watford, and clubs in Serie A.
On the flipside, any concerns over losing Gus Hamer may be alleviated. The new Sheffield United captain is thought to be happy at the club and is keen to work with Ruben Selles.
Leicester City facing chaos before deadline day
Another team that’s endured a stuttering start to the season, Leicester City, could well have more issues coming in the transfer market ahead of deadline day.
It’s now become clear that Bilal El Khannouss wants to join Crystal Palace, and the Foxes are not expected to stand in his way if they receive an offer of at least £26m.
Leicester have also received a bid from Sunderland for Abdul Fatawu. The Black Cats have offered £28m for the winger.
There’s also a chance Harry Winks and Patson Daka leave, with Valencia keen on the pair.

Ipswich Town and Coventry City in for Danish star
Two clubs tipped for promotion this season are going toe-to-toe to sign a top Danish talent. Ipswich and Coventry are both keen on William Boving, with a £3m deal mooted for the Sturm Graz star.
The two teams could be fairly busy in the next few days, too. The good news for both is that Jack Rudoni now wants to stay at Coventry and Leif Davis has no interest in moving to Nottingham Forest.
However, Ipswich will be disappointed that Ivan Azon is not joining from Como as expected after a U-turn by Cesc Fabregas. Still, the Tractor Boys might be signing Sandre Walle Egeli from FC Nordsjaelland in a deal worth around £17.2m.
Championship transfer round-up: Aleksander Mitrovic, Giorgi Chakvetadze, Derby County and more
Despite rumours suggesting he’s set for Birmingham City, we can confirm that Aleksander Mitrovic will not be playing in the Championship this season. He may well return to the Premier League, though.
Valencia are looking at more Championship talent, this time it’s thought they could land Giorgi Chakvetadze from Watford.
Derby County are close to signing Koki Saito despite interest from Birmingham and QPR. Meanwhile, their pursuit of Lewis Travis took a twist this weekend, with Todd Cantwell taking the Blackburn Rovers captaincy from the Derby target.
Wrexham could also add to their busy summer soon. Apparently, Sivert Mannsverk is nearing the Ajax exit door, according to reports in the Netherlands.
We wrap up our Championship transfer round-up with another look at the ongoing situation regarding Tyler Dibling’s future at Southampton. Will Still admitted he has no control over Dibling’s fate, but he is getting to work on finding his replacement. It’s thought €10m will land the Saints their top target, Leo Scienza.
