Leeds United face Plymouth Argyle at Home Park as they eye the league title on their way up from the Championship and back to the Premier League.
It’s a near-certainty that neither side will be a part of the 2025/26 Championship, with Leeds already promoted to the top flight at the second time of asking. They have the riches of promotion to come but not before the final game of the campaign.

Daniel Farke knows they will need another ‘perfect away performance’, especially given Plymouth’s record against the top 10 in the Championship when playing at Home Park — perhaps handing Burnley a lifeline in the process.
They have been relentless and outstanding at home, but their away form has been more mixed this term, with fortress Elland Road the bedrock for success. The Whites also have the third-best away record in the second tier, though.

Sam Parkin predicts the outcome of Plymouth Argyle vs Leeds United at Home Park
Leeds can mathematically relegate Plymouth as they claim the title over Burnley, but there are numerous permutations in the Championship at play on final day. Either way, a new points record for second will be set.
Argyle have already been tipped for promotion from League One next season, but they come up against a team on the cusp of a 100-point campaign. Leeds’ motivation and Plymouth knowing they cannot survive may be what settles this one.
Sam Parkin is an EFL pundit for the BBC and talkSPORT, as well as being a co-commentator for Sky Sports, and he spoke to Benjamin Bloom to provide his verdict on the final day game. Bloom said: “It’s Plymouth-Leeds. Are we going to both predict Leeds to win the title?
“I will start by doing exactly that, so we are, potentially on in my mind, for two teams finishing on 100 points. Leeds absolutely murdered Bristol City.
“Plymouth will score. Do you know what? I’m going to go 4-1. Plymouth 1-4 Leeds.”
“Yeah, I don’t mind it. I’ll go 2-1 just because I want everything to be 2-1.
“The last 12 games, Argyle? Top half. Unbelievable.
“I think here — this statistic — won four of the first 29. They’ve won seven of the last 16.
“It’s going to be harsh to see them drop out, given how well the manager has done and how well some of the players have performed in the last few weeks.
“But, yeah, maybe Leeds to be 2-0 up and coasting — Argyle get one for the punters tail end.
“I’ll go 2-1.”

Daniel Farke could be managing his last game for Leeds United
Simon Jordan has told Leeds to part ways with Farke, but the German head coach has recently hit back with a defiant message in response to his doubters.
Despite having a better record than any manager in the club’s history and breaking Marcelo Bielsa records at Leeds as well, the Whites could look in another direction this summer.
Some will point to his disappointing Premier League record with Norwich City, while his time with Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga was also underwhelming, but he is also the manager who has guided Leeds to promotion with a club-record points tally.
Leeds fans are divided on Farke’s future but Stuart Dallas has called for him to remain. However, there is plenty to consider, even if he gets them to 100 points and wins the league for them.
Southampton and Russell Martin are perhaps one of many examples of what can happen for teams making the transition. That is why Leeds must weigh up their next move carefully, irrespective of the outcome on Saturday.
